We have developed our premises, and petal has been formulated, as a Support Centre to provide a comprehensive range of support, advice, counselling and alternative therapies for the benefit of our members.
Within our Support Centre we provide a range of alternative therapies. This is an area, which has proved very popular and beneficial to our members and we will continue to develop this service as an integral part of the PETAL Support Centre.
Within the Support Centre we also provide support in direct response to the needs of bereaved children and young people, and have established a childrens / family therapy room
We have installed Sensory Equipment in the family therapy room. This environment encourages stimulation of the senses: sight, touch and smell.
Sensory Environments support interaction, discovery and communication. Enabling faster learning and development through increased awareness of surroundings.
The Sensory Equipment is proving beneficial to the majority of our members, regardless of age.
We monitor the progress and suitability of this project through regular discussion with our members and by visiting Support and Trauma Centres to ensure the best way forward.
A major tenet of the level of support provided by PETAL is that there is no time limit on the support provision
